Webinar on Haris Meidanis’ book ‘The Private International Law of Commercial Mediation’
On 17 June 2026, the International Mediation Institute (IMI) successfully hosted a webinar on “The Private International Law of Commercial Mediation”, bringing together mediators, lawyers, and dispute resolution professionals for a practice-oriented discussion on the role of private international law in cross-border mediation.
Using Dr Haris Meidanis’ recent publication as a point of reference, the webinar examined key practical issues affecting international mediation, including the impact of legislative developments, the significance of venue selection, the legal frameworks governing mediation proceedings, and the enforcement of mediation outcomes in an international context.
The discussion provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities facing practitioners and highlighted the growing importance of understanding the legal environment surrounding international commercial mediation.
