Theodor D. Seremetakis has been member of the Athens Bar Association since 1991.

Studies

He has graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1989) and from the University of Hannover (1989-1990), where he studied on a scholarship by the State Scholarships Foundation/IKY (European Program “MAGISTER LEGUM EUROPAE”).

He is also holder of a Postgraduate Degree of the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law and Labor Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Fields of Expertise

He has an extensive litigation experience in cases of banking law, capital markets law, negotiable instruments law, commercial contracts and corporate law. He also has first line expertise in the field of the recovery of contingent claims, with a further specialisation in enforcement of judgments due to his long cooperation with a well-known systemic commercial bank. Finally, he has considerable experience in n liquidation of insurance companies, in bankruptcy law and social security law. He also has considerable expertise in the law of energy, both contentious and non-contentious, with emphasis on energy regulation and civil claims.

He speaks and writes in Greek (native) German and English.
